Enhanced Oil Recovery
The Petroleum Group is active in the Chemical Engineering, Petroleum, and Gas Faculty in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (with a focus on Hydrocarbon Reservoirs). This group is involved in educational and research activities in the upstream oil and gas industries.
The research activities of the Petroleum Group are focused on reservoir engineering, exploitation, drilling, and renewable energy. So far, this group has participated in various industrial projects. The availability of laboratory and simulation facilities at the Petroleum Engineering Institute, as well as the Enhanced Oil Recovery Laboratory, has made it possible to provide various laboratory and research services in several upstream oil fields such as enhanced recovery, acidizing, oil simulation, cement jobs, etc.
With the use of various facilities and having specialized academic faculty members with degrees from top universities worldwide and in the country, this group is determined to continue its rapid growth in its educational and research areas and become a top center of excellence in the upstream oil and gas field in the country.”
